This drawing is of my childhood home, a place full of memories. I’m really happy with how the bricks around the garage came out. The detail in the bricks adds a lot of texture, and it feels realistic. I also like how the roof and the overall shape of the house turned out. But I think I could’ve added more detail to the windows and the door. They look a little plain compared to the rest of the house, and I think a bit more shading or texture could’ve helped. Even though the windows and door are a bit simple, I’m proud of how the rest of the house looks. The drawing brings back memories of the place where I grew up, and it feels like a snapshot of a time in my life. I used pen and ink because it gives the piece an old-school vibe, which I think fits the house. This piece is not perfect, but it’s special to me because it represents my home and all the moments I had there. I think I could improve the details next time, but for now, I’m happy with how it turned out.
